Over the years since the company's inception in 2012, Dhruva Space has seen many remarkable milestones. In October 2020, Dhruva Space was awarded the National Startup Award by the Government of India for its efforts in Satellite and Space Technology.
On 24 June, Dhruva Space became one of the first private companies to receive authorization from IN-SPACe; this was ahead of the 30 June ISRO PSLV-C53 mission which led to the successful space-qualification of Dhruva Space’s 1U Satellite Orbital Deployer. This was followed by the Thybolt Mission on 26 November which saw the launch onboard ISRO’s PSLV-C54 of the first Indian two satellites to be authorized by IN-SPACe, to be successfully deployed into orbit.
